Centerville Clinic
The Centerville Clinic is a 20,000 square foot two story medical clinic on Highland Avenue in Washington, PA. The first level is dedicated to dental services. The second level medical offices handle all other clinic functions. The project received an award from the Electric League of Western Pennsylvania (ELWP) as the Best Institutional Lighting Project.
The presence of this building in Washington is enhanced by the visibility of the lighting as you approach the building. The lobbying is an uplifting experience. The main doors are bracketed by fluorescent wall sconces. The fluorescent tiered chandeliers in the two-story lobby match the exterior wall sconces while high on the building the indirect LED luminaires allow the exterior perimeter louvers to float.
The sconce and chandelier style are carried thru the common areas of the building. The main corridor and community room have fluorescent drums and fluorescent sconces respectively. It is a smooth transition to the lobby from both of these areas. The check-in/check-out task lighting on the second level carries the luminaire theme up to a new level.
The second level clearstory spans the length of the floor through the patient waiting area and the business office. Recessed fluorescent indirect lighting provides a comfortable glow to the clearstory. The soothing illumination keeps the waiting area light and airy.
